Additional charge for fleas or skin fungus for thorough salon cleaning. Contact me please when your cat has fleas for the correct treatment. Rate: €15,-
Coat care for kittens and owners. During this kitten acclimatization, you will learn together how to get used to grooming both at home and in the grooming salon. It is advised to start this around 12 weeks of age. The same elements of the basic treatment are applied in a shortened form to help the kitten adjust (duration: max. 30 min – age up to 6 months; please indicate this in the intake form after making the appointment due to scheduling). Rate: €45,-

It is important not to prolong the treatment too much. If stress becomes too high, it might mean that a treatment sometimes needs to be done in two sessions. Remember: making it as comfortable as possible for the cat is the goal.
A grooming session typically lasts about 45 to 60 minutes. The treatment is tailored to what the cat can handle. The sooner a cat can be helped, the better. However, I always schedule enough time for each session to ensure calmness and variation. The treatment has a fixed price for this reason but may be shorter or longer depending on the situation.
If the cat is too matted or if the stress becomes too much, it is necessary to schedule an additional session. For the follow-up appointment, a rate of €15 per 15 minutes applies (the first 15 minutes are charged with the initial appointment).
When your cat is extremely anxious and this results in aggression, it might be preferable to perform the grooming under (mild) sedation. This can be done with a mild sedative called gabapentin, which you administer yourself with a doctor’s prescription (tablet or drops). Gabapentin usually yields good results. If there is no other option, I can also perform the grooming under light anesthesia at a veterinarian’s office. I collaborate with veterinarians in Dordrecht, but it is often possible to arrange this with your cat’s regular vet. Separate fees apply for this, which are discussed with the veterinarian.
In principle, I do not offer grooming services at home, but I do provide a pickup and drop-off service for your cat. Only in exceptional cases (medical reasons) can we arrange to groom your cat at your home by agreement. For this service, as well as for the pickup and drop-off service, an additional fee (depending on travel time) and travel costs will be charged. Travel costs start from 3314 CN. The rate is €0.30 per km (round trip). If there are parking fees, they will be the customer’s responsibility.
